Fashion Splash 2020

Fashion Splash was created to fill the demand for local designers to showcase their unique clothing designs. Vancouver Islanders are loyal to local designers, we do our best to support locally designed and crafted clothes. This event will expose Victorian's to the amazing homegrown talent this island has to offer. 

Since the first show in 2014 the fashion industry has changed. Throw away fashion is fading and reuse, reclaimed, vintage, recycled, and eco-friendly are the new catchphrases. 
Why ? 
Synthetic materials take more than 70 million barrels of oil per year to make. When you add the chemicals that are needed to colour the clothing, we have created a toxic garment. When washed, these garments sends microfibres into the ocean. Millions of pounds per year end up in our lakes and oceans. 

Fashion Splash 2020 will give you a look at local designers that make their clothes from natural fibres, reclaimed materials and recycled fibres. Please take a look at our designer page. 

The show takes place inside Pier A at Ogden Point on Feb 29th. Tickets for sale at the door
It is also a fundraiser for Victoria Women's Transition House.
