There are many hats to wear when starting and running your own business, so we would like to help answer those questions and put you on a road for greater success!
The Fashion Splash team has partnered with the Pacific Design Academy to establish a panel of successful individuals in the local fashion industry. This panel will strive to answer your questions, as well as provide advice and guidance regarding such topics as - social media & marketing, running an efficient business, what are store buyers looking for, and much more.

Meet Our Panel
Aimee Halfyard - Aimee is the new Owner & Creative Director of Smoking Lily, a Victoria based brand that designs women's clothing with classic lines, a modern edge and a touch of whimsy. Aimee lives in Vancouver and is the Canadian Co-Chair of Global Tech and a Partner in the Business Law Group of Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP, an international law firm. Aimee is also a devoted dog-mom to Jethro and in her free time loves travelling to see concerts.
Stephanie Mould - Stephanie Mould is a 2022 graduate of the Pacific Design Academy and the current Pattern Drafting teacher. She is the owner and seamstress behind Smouldy, a slow fashion brand that’s been on the runways of Fashion Splash, Future Oceans Calgary, Vancouver Fashion Week and in May Cannes France. Smouldy has also been featured in magazines like Vogue Italia, Mexico and more.
Mona Elliott - As a passionate marketer and website designer with over five years of experience, Mona helps businesses and individuals bring their brand stories to life by enhancing their online presence and exploring the essentials of web design, social media, and brand identity. With 25 years of combined business and sales expertise and a background in entrepreneurship and art, she blends creativity with strategy to deliver impactful digital solutions. Her journey, from owning a West Coast art gallery to building brands online, fuels her commitment to empowering others to achieve their goals in the digital world.
Paul Long - Paul Long, President & founder of ANIAN Clothing, has spent the last decade focusing on circular fashion and supply chain management. With a simple idea- that the clothing we wear should not harm the places we love. ANIAN has stores in Victoria & Vancouver with a third opening in Calgary AB in the spring of this year.
Jodi Bryans - In fashion retail, Jodi quickly rose to become the top salesperson in the Le Chateau, thanks to her incredible knack for spotting trends and understanding what women want when it comes to fit, structure, and style. Her expertise was so valued that the company began seeking her input on which items to carry in stores. Local businesses, like Dancing Lily, also took notice, frequently consulting her and even inviting her to join them on buying trips.Today, Jodi has built an impressive roster of clients who turn to her for guidance in elevating their businesses.
